To help you make the most of your experience, we’ve compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions. Whether you’re wondering what to wear, how the technology works, or how to prepare for your session, we’ve got you covered.
-
What is a Rain Room?
A Rain Room is an immersive space where water continuously falls like rain, creating a visually stunning and interactive environment. It’s perfect for dance performances, photography, film shoots, and artistic experiences.
-
How does the Rain Room work?
Our Rain Room uses a controlled water system to simulate rainfall. We have three manual valves on the wall near the pool that controls our three features—a large circle, medium circle and zig-zag. The valves let you use the features together or individually as well as control the water flow from fast to slow.
-
Where does the water come from?
Water coming from ‘rain’ system or hose is not filtered, and is regular tap water, we do not recommend drinking it.
-
How do I book a session in the Rain Room?
You can book a session through our website or by contacting our studio directly by emailing hello@dripcreativestudio.com. Availability may vary, so we recommend booking in advance.
-
What should I wear?
It depends on your goal! For performances, wear water-friendly clothing that moves well. If you’re doing a photoshoot, consider fabrics that absorb water beautifully, like silk or chiffon. Non-slip footwear or bare feet are recommended for safety.
-
Do you provide towels or changing rooms?
We have designated changing room and showers for your convenience and use, but we do not provide towels and highly recommend bringing your own towels and extra clothes.
-
Should I bring a change of clothes?
Absolutely! Since you may get wet, bring a towel and dry clothes. We have a shower with complementary body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as changing rooms on site for your use and convenience.
-
Is the Rain Room slippery?
We use non-slip flooring with a wax coating, but wet surfaces can still be slick. Please move carefully, especially when dancing or performing.
-
Can I bring props?
Yes! Umbrellas, coats, hats, and fabric props look amazing in the Rain Room. However, items that shed debris or could clog the drains are PROHIBITED (e.g., confetti, paper, petals, feathers). Unusual prop requests should be cleared with our team first.
-
Can I use lights or smoke effects?
Yes, but electrical equipment must be waterproof or set up safely outside the wet area. Smoke or fog machines can enhance the atmosphere but should be cleared with our team first.
-
Can I take photos and videos?
Absolutely! The Rain Room is a dream setting for creative projects. We offer RGB lighting and a speaker to enhance your shoot. If you need professional assistance, we can connect you with photographers and videographers. We also offer additional lighting equipment for rental.
-
What happens if I have to cancel my booking?
Cancellations made 72 hours in advance will receive a full refund. If canceled within 48 hours, a 50% credit will be issued. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full.
